Can't see me bothering to rip all my cd's into mp3 or AAC. I can see your problem with the remote but to navigate menu's etc you'd need a screen (unless you stand next to your ipod using a remote) and then you get to the point where you have pretty much an ipod as a remote to control your ipod in the dock. I think thats where the smaller fm transmitters for the ipod come in useful.
