The RSPB required a web application through which they could provide learning material to people interested in birds and birdwatching. Once a user has logged-in they are presented with 6 different modules as well as access to the resource library which contains the RPSB Handbook of British Birds and Where to Watch Birds - Britain.
Websites now allow business to compete on a global level and so it's important that you get it right.
I like to work to a five-step process:

Throughout the entire process of designing your website, you will maintain complete control over the project. You will be able to discuss issues that arise over Basecamp or alternatively Skype me.
The interface is what the user interacts with. Whether navigating from one webpage to another, or purchasing an item, if you have a poor interface your users will find it difficult to use and won't stick around.
Having a good interface however will encourage users to return through being enticed by how easy it is to do what they want.
Interface design works in a similar process to website design, just that there are less steps:
A good interface design needs to accomodate a number of factors; usability, accessibility, purpose and its target audience. It's no good designing an interface that teenagers are familiar to, if the users are likely to be middle-aged.
