Without fail my websites have been verified (at least the ones that I have administration rights over). By adding the MicroID meta data to each webpage and verifying each website (via ClaimID), it reinforces any claims I have made offering an accurate resource for finding out who created what. The only problem is the websites that I have created in the past that I no longer have administration priviledges for I cannot validate. Not to worry though, I doubt that anyone will contest my claims (at least I hope not!).
So from my observations ClaimID serves a two-fold purpose; a portfolio for web designers/developers that appears SEO friendly, and a resource for people wanting to know who was the brains behind each website. I envisage large things to come for this web application and a further possible enhancement would be to allow the input of further information for each website, for example programs and languages used and to describe more specificially the role in the development of the website (design, programming, content authoring).
I understand this web application is currently in beta at the moment and I’m more than willing to wait.
