Prodigious vs. ClaimID

I recently came across Prodigious via CSSMania. I was drawn in by the vivid use of colours used for the interface.

The purpose behind Prodigious is simple:

Prodigious is for anyone who wants to know who is responsible for a site they like, and anyone that wants to take credit for the sites they make.

To me this seems very to what ClaimID are achieving, only to a greater extent. Using a key code generated by Prodigious you embed it into your HTML similar to the way in which MicroIDs work with ClaimID which then verifies your connection with the website. This is ground that has already been covered by ClaimID who have also got support from the likes of Last.fm with their adoption of the MicroIDs.

What sets Prodigious apart from ClaimID is the ability to showcase different peoples work similarly to the CSS galleries that have begun to spring up all over the net. It would be nice if Prodigious would adopt the ClaimID standards for verifying websites instead of competing with different standards.
