Ryan Carson and the Carsonified events

“I want the world, I want the whole world, I want to lock it all up in my pocket, It’s my bar of chocolate, Give it to me, Now!” sang Veruca Salt famously in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Well Ryan Carson, Carsonified’s very own Willy Wonka, is giving you the chance to travel around the world, meet amazing speakers and attend fun conferences.

The Carsonified Golden Ticket allows access to ALL 2009 Carsonified events including Future of Web Design, Future of Web Apps, Future of Mobile, Fuel and all Carson Workshops. That’s not all. Pick one Carsonified event and Carsonified will fly you there and put you up in a hotel. You’ll get an all-access backstage pass at all 2009 Carsonified events plus an invite to the VIP speaker event at a Carsonified event of your choice.

Entering the competition couldn’t be easier. Simply blog about wanting to win the Golden Ticket and link to this post. You will need to get 25 unique comments posted on your blog article and they can’t be spam or yourself. The closing date for this amazing competition is October 1st at Midnight UK time. Rather appropriate as in the original 1971 film, lucky winners were asked to present their Golden Tickets at the factory gates in the morning of the first day in October.

For those who are trying to break into the web industry, like myself, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the experts in the industry and network face-to-face. Conferences, workshops and exhibitions have quite a high cost of entry and is the sole reason I don’t attend more than I do. Winning the Carsonified Golden Ticket would eliminate that barrier for me.

Brilliant post, one of the few that has true passion about the competition. Loving the pick of Ryan & Gene Wilder together. The Carsonified events are great, and i wish you the best of luck with the competition & getting the 25 comments. Would you be able to help me out with some comments too?

Pity the tickets don’t come as a pair, it’s not the same if you can’t have both Charlie and Grandpa

Is there a runner up prize of the chocolate bar featured in the Willy Wonka film? I’ve always wanted to eat one of those. Those Wonka bars they sell in the shops aren’t the same.

Anyhow, I’ll bid you farewell and good luck before I start talking about Ooompa Loompas… :)

Much more interesting than the way these competitions used to work: “complete the following in 50 words – I want to go to Carson Workshops because…”

Good luck.

Are you crazy? Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was the prelude to Se7en I tells ya. Each of those kids was horribly tortured or killed in a manner appropriate to their personal sins. What happens if Ryan Carson is a mad man and he subjects you to cruel internet related punishments before an army of discoloured dwarves carries you away to your doom? We can only hope that you are pure, just like Charlie Bucket was.

Seriously though – sounds ace – good luck ;o)

All the best with it. If there is any going I would like some of that pop that makes you fly (not Red Bull)

Nice, hope you get the ticket
An appropriate quote from Charlie and the…

Mr. Teavee: Is it just me, or does Mr. Wonka seem a few quarters short of a buck?
Mr. Salt: I’m sorry, I don’t speak American.
