Peek-a-boo!

In all my years of coding websites never before had I come across this error in Internet Explorer which causes the design the render incorrectly by displaying erroneous items (in my case a border-bottom item). I am not sure of the technicalities behind the error, but the solution to my problem was to define a height for the problematic div in the CSS. The error has been identified as the ‘Peek-a-boo’ bug and to my newly-aquired knowledge of the error, it only occurs in IE6.
