New Apple products, but is the timing right?

Yesterday Apple launched the new Macbooks, Macbook Pros and Cinema Displays and the reception seems to be quite positive. Twitter was certainly set alight by those pouring over the beautiful new designs and glossy finishes. However is the time right for Apple to launch such high-end and dare I say, expensive, products?

How will the credit crunch affect the web industry?

You would have to be living under a rock or with a remote tribe along the Amazon river to not hear and see the effects that the current economic downturn is having on businesses across the world. Whilst governments the world-over have made arrangements to prevent the global economy from sliding any further you can’t help but wonder how will this affect us all in the web industry?

Thoughts from FOWA

As I mentioned earlier last week, I attended the Future of Web Apps (FOWA) Expo last Thursday and Friday. It was my first ‘Future of’ web event and leading upon to attending the event I was filled with nervous apprehension as I wasn’t sure what to expect.

This evening I will be heading down to London with Kean Richmond (@keanrichmond) for the Future of Web Apps (FOWA) Expo which I will be attending on Thursday and Friday. By the sounds of it, it is going to be an awesome event.
